Hmm, Ill try

But I cant guarantee if you'll understand all this:

First things first:
THE KICK DRUM:
I would duplicate the kick drum you have.
On the FIRST clone of the kick, add an EQ and eliminate ALL the freqencies above about 70-80hz. Basically, its just the deep bass.

Then when this is done, keep the kicks doing the same exact rhythm you have going (including the pitch change on the kick)

Now on the SECOND clone, add and EQ and elimate all the frequencies below 80hz or so. And possibly even more than that. I would probably delete all below 120hz (because of that pitch change on the original, probably goes up to about this range). Bassically, all you have on THIS clone is a tight kick and high frequencies.

Now that you have this, add it back into the kick pattern EXCEPT NOW, where there was a pitch change on the kick originally, on this clone, keep it the same not.

In effect, what you have is a kick that changes bass but not the tone of the actual kicks.

---------------------

Now the claps:
Thats probably a defaut its pretty tight and clean, not bad. But, I would clone this clap, and have the second clone have a stereo effect on, and maybe some reverb.

The hats are key to a beat in trance, not just the kick and clap. You have a good beat going, not pull those hats way up. Nice and loud so that its not under the beat, but rather part of it. I dont particularly like the hat SOUND but, thats just me.

Since thats just the beat, thats how I would EQ and Mix it. I didnt really speak of any effects and such really though. Might be worthwhile messing around with some variation patterns with some effects like stutter going.

But these are just some suggections. nothing major. It is indeed just a beat, but not everything here has to be a full song as far as Im concerned but, its just prefered that way.

based on what you got, 8/10 5/5

KranBerries responds:

Ha i would but atm, im too poor to get the full version fls...so what i kan work with is limited, also ill look into figuring out what you mean by freq's and this was made in like...5 mins? lol

I would give you a 10

if I took into consideration you're epic new language due to your "c" key being broken. Epic.

But as for the song, obviously lots of default FLS stuff. But, thats what they're there for. *I* dont care for them, but you see thats the difference between me and BlackHoles if you get the drift Hah.

But yeah, variation is needed for sure, and mixing attention is needed. But TRUST me Ive heard WAY worse if this is seriously your first song. If it trult is the first song Im impressed.

8.5/10 (9.10) for variation and mixing attention. Cool though.

5/5 = impressed on your starting point.

KranBerries responds:

Thanks! well its not my FIRST song it was my sekond my first one was just a kik a hihat and a klap...lol

Rick Rolled NG Style :P

Well heres what I'll do because to be honest you shouldnt have submitted this yet. Im only gonna review the parts up til when the music stops.

This is, as you said, pretty slow for trance. But, all is taken into consideration that its a remix. However Its quite possibly to turn the speed up without messing with the pitch, just use audacity or something.

But yeah, based on what you have, it sounds pretty good. Things it needs:

Production/Mixing on the vocals to make it seem more trance (vocoder, autotune, etc) (if you have these). SOMETHING to set the vocals INTO the song, not ontop of it.

But yeah the bassline is cool, and the drums are your typical electronica.

Based on the music parts with vocals 7.5/10 (rounded to 8/10)
4/5

Mind if you review my new song N'Thisisex man? Chicago House.

bourngoofy88 responds:

Wow thanks for giving me a straight forward review rather than flaming or bashing me haha.

yeah as i put in the description this is my first song with vocals that im messing with so the whole vocoder stuff is new/ weird to me haha, but im adjusting and trying new things.

and ill try speeding it up with audacity! thanks for that tip.

You know you asked but

I was intending on asskissing lmao, but I actually do like this. Reminds me of a game I used to play but fuck it, i cant remember the name TBH.

But yeah the effects are really good. And the levels (especially the bass :D ) are pretty flawless as far as i can tell.

its a long song, and I didnt ever really get bored of it. Like I said it reminds me of something hahah.

But yeah mayne 10/10 5/5

InvisibleObserver responds:

Heh long song. Checkout my two part uploaded songs, 11 and 14 minutes.
A songs only long I find if it feels too long. If all of its being enjoyed it doesn't much matter. In the same way a song isn't too short if you don't mind it not being longer.

Lmao nice title

I keep clicking music and everything from the past few minutes is really good lmao! This is very well done. I think the kick could be louder but thats all man :D

Lovin this.

Im scared of zero bombs on my new track, lmao care to vote or review my new submission? Its probably not your type but I appreciate good feedback or at least a vote :)

N3XUZ responds:

:D Done and done. Good stuff, actually.

Yeah nice sequences man!

I like this sequence a lot, and the instrumentation was chosen well. Nice man, I like the whole thing. Nothing to bitch about, other than some mixing/EQ tweeking to make it all seem less muddy.

But yeah man the song is sick. 10/10 5/5

Could ya review my new house song? :D

14etan responds:

Positive feedback is always good thanks man glad u like it peace

Hmmm!

This has some really cool sequences and effects! I really like this actually

This is gonna be really simple. My only crit is that your piano has too much of a fluent melody. Perhaps add a pause by eliminating one of your notes. But seriously, nice instrumentation, nice miixing, nice effects, nice writing.

Mind reviewing my new Chicago House song?

Einchent responds:

I appreciate your review and suggestion :) Thank you for taking some time to listen & I'll most definitely swing by your page

Well dayum

Came out nice fam. Use less stutter, as others have said but otherwise easily rapped to.

Good job. 10/10 5/5

Pokemeon responds:

yea thanks bro... imma send you my latest one pretty soon been working at it for a long time now.

Sounds pretty damn good fam

Not a whole lot to complain about. Probably could have used more effects on the track. The mixing relationship between the vocals and the track could use some work. The vocals need to be a littttle less loud, and possible some effects, like a sidechain.

But yeah, pretty decent.

I would suggest a master hard limiter to really pump this track up and get it nice and thick.

but yeah, these are my opinions - something a lot of reviewers seem to forget, its not out song. its yours. these numbers are based on content not my opinions.

Could ya review my new track Prftk.Tempo, or maybe SmxHard?

Adamaja456 responds:

thanks for the review, and yea, it usually just depends on what the author wants to do but thanks for the ideas. ill def look into that :)
and yea, sure thing

Nice dude!

Id say this is more trance, IMO. but thats beside the point.

I love the sequence that comes in after a little while, its very well written - it all is. Good drumtrack and effects. Could use a little less bass on the master EQ, as well as more highs on the EQ. But otherwise it all sounds pretty good.

Perhaps add a hard limiter on the track to really bring out the synths and drum relationship.

I review and vote based on content and potential. I think if you payed more attention on mixing/EQ this could be up there with the big dogs.

I didnt happened to notice whether you had a 1,2 beat (aka the typical "kick clap") techno beat going on. I was reviewing as I listened. Perhaps have a section with that to give listeners a familiar feeling.

Last note on EQ, the kicks need much more presence in the track. EQ a little less bass and add mids and highs IMO

These are all my opinions, regardles.
